Redcliffe Imaging’s story.
A 100% employee-owned Bristol print company that specialises in greeting cards for artists, illustrators and photographers — and has been printing pictures, one way or another, since 1982.
Printing pictures since 1982.
Redcliffe began way back in 1982 — yes, before digital images, mobile phones and the internet. The company started life in the part of Bristol known as Redcliffe, and the name seemed appropriate somehow. In those early days we were a professional film-processing and photographic print company. Over the years we’ve evolved into digital printing, while keeping the core skills we started with: colour accuracy, and getting the very best out of every image. We’re quite fussy about printing each design just right.
One of the joys of the business is working with artists, illustrators and photographers like you. We get real satisfaction from getting the best printed result from your image or artwork — which is why we’ve left no stone unturned in choosing the card stocks, envelopes, sleeves and presses we use, and why every order is checked and packed by hand before it leaves.
- Over 40 years of printing experience
- A thorough knowledge of printing processes and card stocks
- Always happy to talk to you about getting the best from your cards
- Every order you place is saved to your account, so reordering — even years later — is easy
- We’re not the cheapest, but we reckon we charge a fair price for our work. Our advice is free!
We also print fine art giclée — we’re a Hahnemühle and Canson Certified Print Studio and Fine Art Trade Guild members — and since 2024 we’ve been 100% employee-owned, so the people printing, checking and packing your cards also own the business that does it.
There’s plenty of advice on this site, but nothing beats talking it through. Before your first order, drop us a line and tell us what you’re making.
Forty-odd years of print
From a 1982 photographic lab to a colour-managed digital studio, with the same attention to getting the picture right.
Checked & packed by hand
Every file is looked at before it goes to press, and every order is quality-checked and packed by a person, not a machine.
Advice is always free
Not sure which stock, size or finish? Ask. We’d rather talk it through than have you guess.
Let’s get your cards looking their best.
